Nupur Sanon: I hope I get to sing in my first film as an actress – Times of India

When she came to Mumbai, Nupur Sanon planned to do a course in digital marketing and later pursue a career in the same field. But little did she know that once in the entertainment capital, she would end up following in the footsteps of her sister Kriti Sanon. Nupur says, “I am a trained classical singer. I came to Mumbai in 2017 to study, but at the same time, I was pursuing singing. I used to share my videos on social media. One fine day, when Kriti was away for a shoot in Budapest, I got a call from a production house. They said they liked my videos and asked me to come for an audition. I thought they would share the lyrics with me, discuss the melody and make me sing. However, I was in for a surprise when the team told me that they were looking at casting me as the lead heroine,” says Nupur, who signed the project. However, to her dismay, the film got stalled.
