AMC Networks has elevated its first chief diversity, equity and inclusion officer, Aisha Thomas-Petit, to director of human resources and diversity. She succeeds Jennifer Caserta, the longtime IFC executive who took over as AMC’s chief human resources officer in 2018 and is leaving after 20 years with the company.
Caserta joined AMC in 2004 and spent 14 years with the IFC network, including as President and CEO, helping to grow the niche independent film network into an ad-supported destination for cutting-edge comedy ( slogan “Always On. Slightly Off”) with shows such as Portlandia, Brockmire and Documentary now!.
As Head of Human Resources, Caserta, she played a key role as an advisor and partner to the CEO and management team.
AMC is “tremendously grateful” for Caserta’s leadership as it moves forward into a new chapter, interim CEO Matt Blank said.
